Songs

These date all the way back to a live performance of her introductory song "Pony in da House" at the 2013 Cruelty Free Festival in Sydney, her first single, "Happy Veganniversary", co-written with Ralph Graham and featuring Renée Jonas, launched on 29th August 2015. through to her 2021 release "Please Don't Turn Away" which is age-restricted on YouTube due to the compelling  yet confronting images from We Animals Media.

Poems

Some Friendly Advice for Flesh Eaters

Think not of the fact that a pig’s life was taken
To provide for your breakfast of rashers of bacon;

Refuse to admit a cow’s throat was slit
To give meat for the burger into which you just bit;

And don’t for one moment reflect on the torment
That the reddy-brown stain on the slaughterhouse floor meant;

Scoff at the thought of concerning yourself
With those battery eggs on the grocery shelf;

Don’t question the need to make animals bleed
When it’s driven by profit and corporate greed;

Though suffering’s rife, think not of the strife
That goes hand-in-hand with your meat-eating life;

For such thinking can pose quite a danger you see
As you might just end up a vegan like me.

Something Fishy

It is rare for a person to relate to a fish,
Unless of course it is placed on a dish –
As “Special of the Day”, praised to the sky –
Wholly intact, with its unblinking eye
An unwelcome reminder for a waiting diner
Of its previous state, before the trip to the plate:
A trip that included a hook, line and sinker,
Before ‘drowning in air’ – now that’s really a stinker.

But, what’s really the matter with a seafood platter?
Besides widespread pollution by PCBs?
Besides the lives that are taken in order to please
A taste for the ‘fruits’ of rivers and seas?

The matter, my friends, is rather extreme:
Ocean depletion – an unfortunate scene;
For this is the truth: there won’t always be
The oft-quoted “plenty more fish in the sea”.
